About This Piece

This awfully charming pendant looks like a pile of bones, but the tiny skull and bone inside are free to move, backed with an embossed ribcage. Give it a shake and they rattle around like a miniature snow globe for the macabre-inclined.

The design nods to the old practice of bone casting, where scattered pieces were read like a story. Here, the bones stay close, shifting inside their frame instead of across a table.

The adjustable cord lets you wear it high as a choker or long for a looser drape. Whenever the mood strikes, give it a shake to enjoy the motion as the bones shift inside, a small sensory detail for idle hands.
